Required Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with a high level of energy, a passion for HOPe's mission, and a proven track record of success in nonprofit fundraising. The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of professional experience, demonstrating success in major gift solicitation and campaign leadership across diverse philanthropic sources. Essential skills include the ability to craft and implement strategic development plans, manage a significant donor portfolio, and build lasting relationships through excellent communication and engagement abilities. This leader must be adaptable, capable of impacting both strategic and tactical initiatives, and adept at working both independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's is preferred.

Full job description
House of Possibilities (HOPe) seeks a dynamic and experienced Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's future. Reporting to the CEO, the CAO will be responsible for leading all fundraising and development activities, forging new relationships to enhance HOPe's visibility, impact, and financial resources. This key position involves designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow our $1M+ annual budget through major gifts, grants, special events, and corporate and foundation support. The CAO will be instrumental in expanding our donor pipeline, securing funding for new initiatives, including an upcoming Capital Campaign, and working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and volunteer leaders to foster greater engagement in fundraising. The CAO will manage three direct reports, setting goals, delegating tasks, tracking progress, providing feedback, conducting reviews, and motivating the team.
