Position Summary
Autism Futures is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization as the sole employee. In this role you will report to the members of the Board. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational leadership of Autism Futures, ensuring the fulfillment of our mission and the sustainable growth of our programs. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong understanding of non-profit management, a passion for our cause, and a proven track record in fundraising and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership & Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficient and effective program delivery.
Maintain comfort and expertise in navigating non-profit board governance, legal compliance, financial oversight, and human resources management.
Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the mission and goals of Autism Futures.
Utilize for project management, stakeholder tracking, and more.
Grant Management & Fundraising:
Manage comprehensive grant programs, including overseeing grantees and the grant application review process.
Coordinate the timely and accurate sending of grant disbursements.
Lead fundraising efforts, including building and nurturing strong relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
Develop and execute diverse fundraising strategies to ensure financial sustainability
Communication & Relationship Building:
Serve as a strong communicator, representing Autism Futures to various stakeholders, including the board, grantees, donors, community partners, and the public.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Effectively articulate the organization's vision, mission, and impact to diverse audiences.
Financial & Administrative Oversight:
Ensure the financial health and integrity of the organization, including budget development, oversight, and reporting.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of financial and administrative management.
Oversee compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
