Required Experience:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants are required to have significant experience in serving the needs of those with developmental disabilities and mental health issues and to have a master’s degree in healthcare, human services, business management, education, or a related field; with a minimum of ten years of supervisory and administrative experience in the Developmental Disability and Mental Health fields.
The candidate must be knowledgeable of all applicable law and regulation which impact Agency policy and operations, and be familiar with the requirements, policies, and procedures necessary to work successfully with the New York State Office of People With Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health.
A demonstrated knowledge of budget preparation and financial management, understanding of the principles of human resource management, and familiarity with federal and state law as it impacts the organization are essential; as well as awareness of current technologies relevant to program administration. Experience with grantsmanship and fundraising is also desired.
Any successful candidate will have shown the ability to successfully lead, establish, and maintain effective working relationships both within and outside the organization through interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary Range: $195,000- $225,000.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the administration of an annual budget of $26 million and the management of 32 residential homes, six day programs, community food pantry, teen suicide prevention program, and a mental health clinic serving those in need.
Appointed by and accountable to the Board of Directors to serve as the primary Administrator of the corporation, the CEO is responsible for all aspects of Agency operations and must ensure all programs function in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements, in concert with Agency policy, mission statement, and program standards.
