Position: Executive Director
About:The American Real Estate Association is a national membership organization committed to supporting real estate professionals through advocacy, education, networking, and industry leadership. Our mission is to strengthen the industry, support our members, and create opportunities for professional growth.
Position Overview:We are seeking an Executive Director to lead all aspects of the Association’s strategy, operations, and growth. This role requires leadership and deep knowledge of the real estate industry. As Executive Director, you’ll shape the future of a national organization, expand its impact, and deliver meaningful value to real estate professionals across the country.
The Executive Director blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, overseeing programs, growing membership, securing funding, and strengthening our presence and influence.
Responsibilities:• Partner with the Board to set and implement strategic goals• Serve as the primary representative to members, partners, and the public• Oversee daily operations, programs, social media strategy, and events (both virtual and in-person)• Manage staff, contractors, and volunteers• Prepare and manage the annual budget• Drive membership growth, engagement, and annual member retention• Lead fundraising, sponsorship, and partnership efforts• Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders and donors• Ensure compliance with all legal, accounting, and reporting requirements
