Full job description
Job Summary
The Director of Community and Culture is an educational leadership role that utilizes the core practices of Expeditionary Learning, principles of Positive Discipline, and a restorative approach to discipline to foster a safe, inclusive, and joyful community of learners.

Responsibilities

Implement the mission and vision of RMSEL in service of leading professional staff members in reaching academic and character excellence for student scholars.
Student Culture & Discipline
Admin lead for post-secondary counseling, internships, and passion projects
Collaborate with the Enrollment Coordinator to conduct transcript audits
Concurrent Enrollment school liaison
Admin lead for athletics & activities
Admin lead for Restorative Approach to Discipline
Serve as RMSEL's Title IX Investigator
Provide leadership with RMSEL Fitness and Crew as aligned to building habits of character
Enforce the Student Code of Conduct—Student J Policies with fidelity and equity
Enforce the Code of Conduct—Student J Policies in alignment with the RMSEL Adventure Program for Fieldwork and Crew Trips
Establish Remedial Behavior Plans as needed
Establish Safety and Containment Contracts as needed
Monitor student attendance and establish Attendance Contracts as needed
Serve as the District Assessment Coordinator
Serve as a School Level Administrator
Conduct teacher evaluations as assigned
Develop Human Resources—Plans for Professional Improvement as needed
Supervision of before and after school as assigned
Supervision of schoolwide and/or school-level events
Maintain meticulous records and documentation within Infinite Campus
Support decisions as reached by the RMSEL Administrative Team and the Board of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES)
Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
