Required Experience:
Qualifications
Master’s Degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, public administration, social work, or related field with business management experience preferred.
Senior leadership experience in nonprofit management, youth services, housing programs, or human services.
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, grant acquisition, and program oversight.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
Strong financial management, communication, and organizational leadership skills.
Knowledge of compliance standards related to federally and state-funded programs preferred.

About the Organization
Christopher Youth Center is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to serving runaway, homeless, and victimized youth through comprehensive programs that promote safety, stability, healing, and long-term self-sufficiency. Our work focuses on housing access, academic support, mental health services, workforce development, and community reintegration.
Position Summary
The Executive Director serves as the chief administrator and strategic leader of the organization, responsible for overall operations, program effectiveness, financial sustainability, and community impact. This role provides visionary leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, and advances the organization’s mission through strong partnerships, sound fiscal management, and high-performing programs.
The Executive Director oversees federally funded youth housing initiatives supported by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Victims of Crime, and the Department of Children and Family Services and leads efforts to expand services and strengthen outcomes for vulnerable youth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Management
Serve as chief administrator and strategic lead for federally funded youth housing programs, driving organizational growth and long-term sustainability.
Lead cross-functional teams and direct execution of strategic initiatives aligned with mission and funding priorities.
Supervise department heads and ensure performance alignment with organizational goals and external compliance standards.
Manage high-priority organizational initiatives and partnerships that advance service delivery and impact.
Program Oversight
Direct programs addressing housing stability, academic performance, mental health, and community re-engagement.
Ensure coordinated, trauma-informed service delivery across all program areas.
Strategize with community organizations to develop and maintain a continuum of care for eligible populations.
Financial Leadership & Resource Development
Oversee financial operations, budgeting, and long-range fiscal planning.
Secure and manage federal, state, and foundation grants through comprehensive proposal development and alignment with funding priorities.
Monitor program outcomes and funding performance to support sustainability and growth.
Human Resources & Organizational Development
Provide oversight of all human resources functions, including recruitment, hiring, and leadership development.
Implement workforce strategies that strengthen employee engagement and retention.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and mission-centered organizational culture.
Partnerships & Community Engagement
Manage partnerships with state agencies, elected officials, universities, and community stakeholders.
Facilitate community development initiatives, workforce partnerships, and public awareness campaigns.
Represent the organization in public forums, coalitions, and advocacy efforts.
Governance & External Relations
Maintain regular communication with the Board of Directors and government entities.
Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and strategic communications.
Ensure transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance across all operations.
