Required Experience:
Qualifications
Graduate degree in Early Childhood Education, Public Administration, Business Administration or equivalent degree. Minimum of nine college semester credits in administration, leadership, and/or management.
Five years of experience in nonprofit executive leadership in an organization comparable in size and scope, including strategic planning, operational management, human resources and board collaboration
Seven years' experience as a program administrator in a licensed child care facility ensuring early childhood education best practices, accreditation standards, and child development principles are in place.
Experience working at a NAEYC-accredited child care facility, and experience leading a program through the revised NAEYC accreditation process is preferred.
Strong skills in financial management, including budgeting, funding, and resource allocation
Proficiency in staff management, including hiring, performance evaluation, and professional development
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities
Understanding of compliance with local, state, and federal policies related to childcare and early learning programs
Commitment to creating an inclusive and belonging environment for children, families, and staff
Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

Role Description
The Executive Director is a full-time, on-site position located in Seattle, WA, and is responsible for the strategic leadership as well as the operations and the administration of the organization. Working in collaboration with the Board of Directors, and the Staff leadership team, which includes an Assistant Director and Curriculum Coordinator, the Executive Director is responsible for realizing the short- and long-term goals described in the Hutch Kids' Strategic Plan which is currently under construction. The Executive Director works with Board leadership to ensure that Hutch Kids operates as a financially sound business with strong administration, compliance and operations practices.
