Required Experience:
Qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families
Experience in nonprofit leadership, human services, or a related field
Strong organizational, financial, and strategic planning skills
Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including families, community partners, and funders
Excellent communication and advocacy skills
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred

Position Overview
The Arc of Augusta County is seeking a passionate, community-focused Executive Director to lead our organization in advancing the rights, inclusion, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to guide a mission-driven nonprofit rooted in advocacy, person-centered support, and strong community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership aligned with the organization’s mission and values
Support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through programs, advocacy, and community engagement
Oversee daily operations, including staff supervision, program management, and financial stewardship
Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor development, and community partnerships
Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization within Augusta County and surrounding areas
Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to ensure strategic growth and sustainabilityEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices in nonprofit management
